Working In Sweden

Working In Sweden

Wednesday, November 9th, 2011

Since early 2009,  Sweden’s government changed policy regarding migration to Sweden and loosened the red tape for entering Sweden to either live or study. There is simply a skills shortage and we need those skilled workers in our country.

Sweden has become an attractive place to live – not just because of it’s varied beautiful countryside, cleanliness and healthy living but also the quality of life,  a very robust social system and health care which is supported by high taxes, unions and government policy.

Learning to speak Swedish is a major benefit when moving to Sweden but not crucial within some companies. There is an abundance of companies – mostly in southern Sweden including Stockholm where International English or other languages are required.

Further north in the Norrbotten area there are hardly any jobs where English is natively spoken and employment is harder to get. But, nothing is impossible in Sweden – If you have a good idea for a business then you’ll certainly get all the help you need!
